First River LLC ("First River", "we", "us") is a strategy consulting firm based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This privacy policy applies to all websites operated by First River, including first-river.com and its associated tools and pages.

What data we collect

We collect minimal data. When you visit our websites, we may collect standard web server log information including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This data is collected automatically and is used solely to understand how our site is used and to maintain its security.

When you use our interactive tools such as ScrAppie™ or the Strategy Matrix, any data you enter (such as EBITDA margins, growth rates, or zip codes) is processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or have access to the inputs you provide to these tools.

If you contact us via email or phone, we will retain the information you provide for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and for our legitimate business interests.

Cookies

Our site uses a small number of cookies and local storage items for essential functionality only. These include remembering your cookie consent preference and, in the case of ScrAppie™, tracking the number of searches used in a session. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services that profile individual users.

Third-party services
