How to find your charts

If you are just getting used to the Steel Data Room experience, you’ve probably experimented with making a bunch of charts, but when you go back to take a look the next day, you are not sure where to find them. Here’s where they are.

From the Steel Data Room home page, click on “Charts” under the First River logo. The screen will immediately show you “Visualizations” which are “Shared with me”, which you can see because “Visualizations” and “Shared with me” are highlighted in black. Your page will look something like the one below.

In order to find the charts you have created yourself, click on “Personal” to the left of “Shared with me”. These are the charts you created. They’re yours. All your work should be here. In order to find any chart you recently viewed (including those not created by you), click on “Recent” to the left of “Personal”.

Another great way to easily find your most useful charts is to make them a “Favorite” by clicking on the star to the left of the main chart title so it becomes blue. You can see below that my chart called World steel exports by country is now one of my “Favorites”.

Now to find this chart again, starting from the Steel Data Room home page, you click on “Charts” and then on “Favorites” just to the left of “Recent”.

See? Magic! Now you know how to find your charts.
